FBN’s David Asman: A Trade Deal Between the U.S. and E.U. ‘Can’t Come Soon Enough’

‘We need something to get the economy roaring again’

EXCERPT:

ASMAN: “Well, that’s a good question because they’re going to — they’re going to have to condense all of these countries. I mean, 70 plus countries working out a deal. They’re going to have to condense it. They just don’t have the staff at the White House to make deals, separate deals with everybody. Remember how long the Mexico, Canada deal took to make in the first Trump Administration? It was months and months of hard work. Now you have 70 countries. You’re going to have to condense it into some kind of blueprint that can be used for other countries as well. Now, the EU, as I mentioned, is — kind of gave Prime Minister Meloni from Italy carte blanche, sort of a power of attorney to work out a deal for the rest of Europe. The EU understands that that Meloni and Trump get along very well, that they can deal very, very well. As soon as a deal comes out, some kind of — some kind of blueprint for a deal that could be used for other countries, I think you’re going to see that number in the bottom right hand of your screen look a little more favorable to investors. But it couldn’t come soon enough because, again, we still don’t have a tax deal. We need something to get this economy roaring again.”
