Shermichael Singleton to Fmr. Wisc. Lt. Gov. Bringing up Trump’s Sexual Assault Case: What Does that Have to Do with Immigration?
EXCERPT:
BARNES: "As relevant as the fact that our president was found guilty of sexual assault. As relevant as the fact that Pete Hegseth, his own mother, called into question his integrity, his ability to serve in the position that he‘s serving in."
SINGLETON: "What does that have to do with immigration?"
BARNES: "Well, what I‘m saying is, these are the people who are leading the country, not just people who are living in the country."
SINGLETON: "We had an election though, Mandela."
BARNES: "So it's okay — so it‘s fine that our nation is led by a sexual assaulter, by a man found guilty of sexual assault?"
SINGLETON: "My point is, the American people had a an opportunity to decide who they wanted to lead, and they chose Donald Trump and not the former — not the former vice president."
