LOCKE: "Well, I think that China would be very, very careful before it does something like that. First of all, yes, China is the largest holder of bonds outside of America, but the majority of foreign — I mean, foreign bond holders make up a minority of all holdings of U.S. bonds. The American people and American institutions hold the majority of those. But of the — of the foreign portion that is being held, China, of course, is number one there. But it would hurt China’s economy, as well, if they were to rapidly sell off those U.S. bonds."
