Baker: Laura Loomer Attracts a Lot of Attention, Appointed Herself a MAGA Loyalty Enforcer

BAKER: "Yeah, it’s remarkable, of course, Laura Loomer is one of these far right influencers who come and go in the Trump orbit and have outsized influence at times. She showed up on the campaign trail repeatedly last year, I think, to the consternation of some of President Trump’s other aides who didn’t find her to be a helpful presence. She’s a conspiracy theorist who promoted online, for instance, the idea that nine over 11 was somehow an inside job. She’s known for making, you know. Anti-Muslim comments. And I think at one point was even, you know, has done performative stunts like jumping the fence at Nancy Pelosi’s house. So she’s kind of a, you know, a somebody who attracts a lot of attention and has appointed herself kind of a MAGA loyal loyalty enforcer. All she’s done is she’s done research on people working in the government and determined based on nothing other than her own judgment, that they are disloyal to President Trump, because, in fact, perhaps they were holdovers and working in the government before he came in or or because they once did or said something or worked for somebody that she finds objectionable. And President Trump is obviously open to that kind of advice."
