O’Grady on Tariffs: I Suspect Trump Will Go Back to the Table ‘Because We Will Have a Recession’
RUSH EXCERPT:
O'GRADY: "The biggest messages everyone was saying when Wednesday came the uncertainty would end. Wednesday came and went the certainty is as high as ever. Nobody knows what’s going to happen here. I think what you’ve seen and the markets is people getting to the sidelines. You had a U.S. economy that was very healthy. They are getting to the sidelines to wait and see what’s going to happen. If there are negotiations to come they do not seem to be any negotiations. Either the commerce secretary of their traitors to traders to our that is suggesting at the trade barriers came down we would be an income from that revenue per on the other hand they seem to be saying since countries are behaving badly that’s we have the trade barriers the question is, of countries that say were going to open more in Europe says were going to read this, that or the other thing, is Trump going to go back to the table? I suspect he will because we will have a recession it will be a bad recession at the status quo remains free."
