MADDOW: "Okay, I have to tell you something about which I’m sorry and also not sorry. I told you when Trump was sworn in that I would be here every night for the first 100 days. It turns out that is not exactly true. There is one day of the first 100 days on which I am not going to be here. I’m very sorry, but it’s only one day, and that day is tomorrow, and then I will be back on Friday. It is one day. I’m sorry. If you must know, it’s because I have a date, which is why I’m not sorry. Susan and I have been together 26 years this week. And if I do not spend this one night having this one date to recognize and pay tribute to that fact, I’m not sure she’s going to allow me to get to year 27, so I am sorry.
