Klobuchar on Signal Scandal: The ‘Normal Procedure’ Is the DoJ Would Probe on It ... ‘We Cannot Let This Go’
EXCERPT:
KLOBUCHAR: "Well, the normal procedure, of course, would be that the Justice Department would look at this, right, that there would be a very strong — but you look at what they’ve — I mean, first of all, you’ve got Pam Bondi has said, 'If anyone leaks anything,' this is in the past, 'we will find out who you are and we will come after you.' Gabbard has said, 'Any unauthorized release of classified information is a violation of the law and will be treated as such.' Of course, they were talking about other things, but if that’s true, then they have to be investigating this. Inspector general, Senator Lankford has suggested this, a conservative Republican. They could simultaneously do the armed services investigation, the inspector general for these departments could be looking at this. We have to know what has happened, what they’ve put at risk for our allies' intelligence, our own intelligence, our service members.”
