Dr. Jha: I’m Worried About How Trump’s Cuts at the Department of Health and Human Services Will Impact Americans

JHA: "Well, look, I served in government. I will tell you the government could be a lot more efficient. No doubt about it. The question is, how are you going about those cuts, and what are the positions you’re eliminating? They’re going to get rid of people who do inspections of nursing homes to make sure nursing homes are safe. They’re going to get rid of people who go into factories who make sure our drug supply is safe. So what I’m worried about is not so much the cuts but where the cuts are going to be. Are they going to be targeted and thoughtful. So far we’ve seen no evidence they are targeted and thoughtful."
