Strassel: Injunctions Against Trump Are Out of Control, Courts Aren’t There to Provide ‘Oversight’ Over the Country
RUSH EXCERPT:
HENNINGER: "They are out of control and if you look at the history here, bill barth during Trump’s first term gave a speech noted in the entire 20th century there were only 27 of these issued. By contrast in Donald Trump’s first term there were more than 60 of them issued just in those four years alone. The problem here has to do with court powers the traditional courts exist to deal with the particular parties and issues that are in front of them. As of the issue an injunction the idea is it applies only to those parties not to provide the courts are not there to provide general oversight over the country which is what these national injunctions allow them to do. Essentially usurping a president and administration policy and replacing it with their own judgment which holds nationwide. That is part of the problem he had Supreme Court justices that have been concerned about it, written about it but have not acted so far. Now you bring the president and Congress talk about whether or not they will do something."
