REEVES: "There’s no shortage of opinions with respect to President Trump’s tariff proposals let me tell you what our experience in Mississippi over the last couple months we had tremendous success in saving governor over five years of not only investment from American companies but also direct foreign investment what we’ve seen over the last couple of months our deal flow and are potential deals in the economic developer shop have never been greater we see companies headquartered that are doing manufactured in other parts of the world that are looking to bring the manufacturing operations back on shore the fact of the matter is we have the potential for manufacturing boom in America in Mississippi is better position than most days because we never gave up on manufacturing that’s what we do in Mississippi we make stuff away make it really, really well these proposed tariffs and what they amount to our deal flow has been nothing but positive we have a team going overseas this weekend this’ll be the third trip to a foreign countries in the last three weeks there are a lot of opportunities for governors and those in states that want to see manufacturing relocate in the United States. That’s been our experience."
