COMER: "Well, of course, the Oversight Committee’s the most high profile committee in Congress, and we want to get this on people’s radar because you’re exactly right, most Americans don’t understand a.I., and you’re exactly right, there are positives and negatives to a.I. That’s why the United States needs to become the leader in a.I. We certainly don’t need to cede that title to China or another adversarial country that has a lot of technological advances on our American society. So we want to be a leader in this. And I’m excited about a.I. from a standpoint of oversight because we’ve got a system in place in the government with inspectors general and internal auditors and things at these government agencies. And as we’ve seen with doge, they haven’t been getting it done. But I believe that with a.I. Technology and with the using proper algorithms we can, in fact, detect improper payments and waste, fraud and abuse much easier or without having to have all these bureaucrats that haven’t been doing a very good--"
