CARUSONE: “Well, as you said, he’s only part of the way through what his plans are. So he’ll get to the other 40 percent soon enough. And no one will be unaffected by what they’re doing. Because, you know, they’re trying, the model that they’re taking is designed to, as he describes it, a revolution. He really does think that he’s up there totally upending government and transforming it into something that is radically different. There’s no one that will escape the consequences of not only their approach, but the massive and severe cuts that they’re doing. I just, I keep reminding people that we only lost about 70,000 people so far. By the time they’re done, even if you just add up the Washington Post reporting, there will be somewhere between 500,000 and 700,000 employees. We’re 10 percent of the way to where they’re going to be by the end of summer.”
