Rep. Cammack: Nothing Is Going to Stop Me from Casting the Votes, ‘Pregnancy Is Not a Problem, It’s a Blessing’

CAMMACK: "But this is honestly a narrative that women across the country contend with every single day when they announce their pregnancy. It’s seen as some sort of disability or hindrance to be able to do their job. I’m telling you right now, nothing is going to stop me from casting the votes necessary on behalf of my constituents. If anything, I think motherhood will make me better at my job because moms, they’re superstars. And so I am very excited to bring our daughter into this world and show her what women are capable of. But, you know, yes, there are concerns about the math, but pregnancy shouldn't be one of them. I can tell you, you know, there have been a lot of health complications amongst my colleagues, and pregnancy not being one of them, and we’ve had to make adjustments for them. I’m not planning on anyone making adjustments for me, but I just need to reassure everyone that pregnancy, it’s not a problem, it’s a blessing. And as the party of families around this country, we should be embracing this."
