David Jolly: ‘Someone Needs To Be Fired’ Over the Signal Group Chat Leak

‘And there are probably Republicans actually telling that the White House right now’

EXCERPT:

JOLLY: “And I think what you saw from The Atlantic is also a bit of a posture of what the free press should be doing, which is to show the American people when the administration is lying, they’re lying, but also the critical substance of this, which is the Trump Administration is currently making America less safe. They jeopardized the operations of this mission. They jeopardized the safety of our men and women in uniform. And then they turn around and they want to try to use The Atlantic editor as a foil for their own malfeasance. This is a story that America understands well, Republicans on the Hill understand it very well. And when they often fall in line, and I think virtually all of them will, I assure you that privately they are asking for somebody to be fired. This is a moment where the White House has to relieve somebody within their national security team. Trump doesn’t like to listen to people. Maybe he doesn’t, but that’s what’s expected right now.”
