Sen. Ted Cruz — one of the two leading candidates for the Republican nomination — said Friday of another candidate: “Donald Trump may be a rat but I have no desire to copulate with him.”

Cruz was vociferously denying the stories of alleged past sex scandals, calling them a “tabloid smear” and the fruit of Trump operative Roger Stone‘s dirty tricks.

Cruz’s dubiously phrased remarks were an allusion to Stone’s reputation for being a “ratfucker.”
