They’re firing all the watchdog agencies that actually their job is to make sure that the law and the Constitution are being abided by within the department itself before you ever reach the courts. That is a clear indicator that Donald Trump doesn’t care about the constitutional requirements. And then secondly, look, this is an anti-immigrant, xenophobic, anti-DEI administration that brings up some hard cultural questions that I think are right for the American people to talk about. Is Donald Trump truly following this white nationalist agenda where he thinks assimilation is wrong, where he thinks that any immigrants of color shouldn’t be here? It certainly feels like that. And I think the nation would be right to have that conversation right now.”
