SCARAMUCCI: “Well, I think he’s got a — I think he’s an 18th century Prussian. So, he’s a colonialist. He wants to take over Canada and Greenland and the Panama Canal. And he’s decided that tariffs are sort of an idea that predates the income tax. So, just remember, that’s a consumption tax for the American people. So, said differently to our European friends, it’s a VAT. So, if he’s going to put that in place and we’re going to leave the income tax rates where they are, he’s going to crush middle and lower middle income consumers.”
