Michael Hardaway: There’s No Way Dems Take the Blame for Gov’t Shutdown in a World Where Donald Trump Runs Washington

HARDAWAY: “Well, first of all, everyone’s already losing all the money in their 401(k) thanks to Donald Trump and his policies. And I actually think that there’s no way that Democrats take the blame for a government shutdown in a world where Donald Trump runs Washington. If you ask any random person in any random town in America who runs D.C., they’ll all say Donald Trump. And so, I don’t buy the fact that Democrats are to blame there. I will say this to Chuck Schumer. I worked in the House. I worked in the Senate. The Senate is always a slower, more deliberative, careful body. And so, the fact that Senate Democrats weren’t on the same page as House Democrats shouldn’t be surprising because they operate completely differently. And that being said, I disagree with his decision.”
