BAKER: "Now, this is his people. He has managed to purge, you know, not just political appointees, which would be normal every four years if you had a new president. But a lot of career people, people who, in fact, have devoted years and decades of their lives to working for presidents of both parties, irregardless of politics. He has now tarnished them and tainted them. And those who worked on cases involving himself, obviously, and cases involving even, say, the January 6th attackers who ransacked the Capitol, they’re all, in his mind, somehow part of a deep state conspiracy. They have been purged from from the ranks of the government or are being purged as we speak."
