Trump: The Great Al Capone Was Attacked Only a Tiny Fraction of What I Was Attacked

‘I was attacked more than anybody in the history of our country’

EXCERPT:

TRUMP: “I saw it over the last four years when somebody was allowed to attack viciously with this department and the FBI his political opponent. How did that work out? Didn’t work out too well, but it wasn’t pleasant. It wasn’t pleasant. I was attacked by a political opponent, and probably it helped that I was attacked more than anybody in the history of our country. Alphonse Capone, the great Alphonse Capone, legendary Scarface, was attacked only a tiny fraction of what Trump was attacked. And maybe it worked out well. I don’t know. If I had to give it up, I probably wouldn’t, but only because I’ve gone through it. But I wonder what the difference would be. Maybe they helped get me elected by those margins, the big margins, the big mandate that we received, but you can’t go after your political opponent. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it.”
