James Carville Says He Was So Horrified by Trump-Biden Debate He Turned to Self-Medicating and Country Music After Three Minutes

CARVILLE: “I know exactly where I was. I was in Aspen, Colorado, in Tina Brown’s Aspen Ideas Group, and I went back to the Jerome Hotel and I turned on the TV, I was three minutes into debate, I watched three minutes, I took two gummies and I started listening to country music because I knew this — this thing was not going well at all.”

Morgan: “No.”

CARVILLE: “It was just — it was too painful to watch. And I can show you that to this day, I could walk back to the room I was in, in the hotel, and I texted the director and I have said, ‘I’ve taken two gummies and I’m watching country music. This is too brutal for even me to watch.’”
