RUBIO: “Well, I think first of all what I’ve learned is a couple things. We have good people that work at the State Department. What -- the challenge that’s reconfirmed my view is there’s a lot of work to be done to realign everything we do at the State Department with the national interest. That’s what our foreign policy needs to be about. And that’s been lost over the years, the idea that we have to define what our national interest is and then ensure that everything we do, every dollar we spend, every program we operate, every word we say is in furtherance of the national interest.”
