Strassel: House Republicans ‘Deserve Some Credit,’ I Didn’t Think They Would Pull Off a Budget Committee
RUSH EXCERPT:
STRASSEL: "It was huge, Paul. I think House Republicans deserve some credit I did not think they would pull it off. The reason this matters is that what you see on the house budget committee is a full array of the Republican Party. Members of the house of Freedom Caucus, moderates et cetera they managed to come together on a broad agreement. That bodes well for the bill on the floor. The House Republicans are trying to say look, one big reconciliation bill his priorities for border spending his tax extensions and other certain details. And spending cuts. They wanted to do it in one go. Dissent is putting pressure on them that remains a backup plan that put pressure on the house. They are now on a timeline if they can stick with it to have something out by the end of April."
