Judge Napolitano: SDNY Prosecutors Are Resigning Because Dropping Adams Charges in Exchange for Immigration Cooperation ‘Is a Violation of Legal Ethics’
‘Which could jeopardize the license to practice law of any lawyer’
EXCERPT:
NAPOLITANO: “Just in the past half hour, the seventh lawyer in the case resigned from it, because lawyers know if they drop this case or ask that the case be dropped in such a way that it's put on the shelf and as a sort of Damocles hanging over the mayor in order to get his behavior to conform to what the DOJ wants him to do with respect to immigration, that is a violation of legal ethics, which could jeopardize the license to practice law of any lawyer who does it. That's why all seven who've been asked to do this in the past 48 hours have resigned.”
