EARNEST: "I would acknowledge that but I would acknowledge that what we are seeing here is unprecedented obstruction from Senate Republicans. That’s not just my description. That’s what Senator Lindsey Graham has said to describe the situation. You noted the exit polls from yesterday’s elections. Republicans are dissatisfied with the way that Republicans are running things in Washington D.C. This is exhibit A. Setting aside your partisan affiliation, there is no question that what Republicans are vowing to do in their treatment of Chief Judge Garland is totally unfair. Let’s just have a hearing. Let’s just do what the Senate has always done, give him a hearing, give him a fair up or down vote, and if you disagree, vote no. But at least have the courage of your convictions to take a vote."
