FLEISCHER: “Well, that’s the point. That’s — this is not about good governance. This is about opposing Donald Trump. This is about Democrats being able to go home and say I did everything in my power to use the rules of the Senate to slow it down, to stop it. And then they get hailed as heroes from the far left. Our nation is too busy for that right now. Presidents deserve to get their people in place, and if you oppose their policies, that’s fine. Oppose their policies, but allow the president to fulfill, to fill out his team. That is the normal tradition. That is normally what happens. These are nothing but delaying tactics for no good government purposes.”
