MURPHY: "So, listen, what you saw is what you think you saw. Elon Musk did the 'heil Hitler' salute. He did. And of course he did, because he’s been, you know, constantly trading in anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on Twitter. He endorsed the far-right neo-Nazi party in Germany. But you don’t have to believe me. Just look at what happened that night on far-right Telegram channels. Neo-Nazi groups and white supremacist groups here in the United States said, 'That’s our guy. That’s our signal. Donald Trump’s with us. He’s with our white supremacy agenda.' You pair that together with the 1500 pardons, which is a signal to those fringe violent groups, that if they engage in violence in Donald Trump’s name, that they’ll get away with it. And what you’re talking about is maybe the most dangerous moment in modern American political history, where there is a sense of endorsement from Elon Musk and a sense of entitlement and immunity given to people who are contemplating acts of violence against politicians, but specifically Democrats. And so, all of our lives got put in jeopardy by what Elon Musk did on Monday night, and what Donald Trump did the next day with those pardons. And that’s just the reality."
