Gov. Wes Moore: ‘California Is Going to Need Help and Support To Be Able to Get Back on Its Feet’

MOORE: “But I also know that it is in times like this and in times of need that people look to their government at all levels to be able to remember them, to be able to support them. And to be able to help them to rebuild. And I do think in these kind of moments, it’s incredibly necessary for all of us to remember the unified family that we find ourselves in, that California is going to need help and support to be able to get back on its feet. And I just hope that Congress, as they’re going through this process and through their own internal deliberations about what that looks like for reimbursement, that they don’t forget the humanity, not just of the people that we lost, but frankly, for the Californians who will need help and support in this moment.”
