L.A. County Board of Supervisors Member: Mayor Bass Is ‘Very, Very, Very Engaged’ with the Wildfire Situation

HEMMER: “Kathryn, the mayor is in West Africa on a trip that was pre-scheduled in Ghana. Do you know if Karen Bass is on her way back to Los Angeles?”
BARGER: “She is. And I've been in contact with her. She is very, very, very engaged in this and is going to be here today. And so I -- you know, she is -- with technology the way it is, she has been in contact up in the air and is going to be landing this morning and is going to hit the ground running. So the fact that the mayor is not in town doesn't -- doesn't mean that we're not getting the resources we need.”
