Rep. Ralph Norman Says He Changed His Vote after the Meeting off the Floor with Mike Johnson

NORMAN: “He just said Mike Johnson is the only one that’s got the support among the body to become speaker. And I get that. But, you know, the only way I had to let my voice be heard was what I did. I would do it again. We went in meeting, the meeting off the floor, and I said, Mike, are you going to give us specific examples of fighting for the things we mentioned, will you give us your word? He said yes. So I said OK, we’ll take you at your word. That’s why I changed my vote and that’s why he’s speaker of the House.”
