April Ryan: We Have to Face the Fact That There Is a ‘Balance in This Country Between Immigration and Illegal Immigration’
EXCERPT:
RYAN: “Yes, there is a true conflict. And, I mean, let’s go back to this issue. I talked to a company that said that if these tariffs go through, the price of items will go up, that was Walmart. And years ago, when Donald Trump was talking about this, the international head of Walmart even said, yes, you know, if immigration, if they stop people at the border, it will change the economy. It means that the prices will also go up. There is some kind of balance in this nation when it comes to immigration and illegal immigration. Some prices are lower because of that. And we just have to face that fact. But if indeed these people are deported in the way that this president is talking about, it will impact our economy. And that is one of the things, the balance will be off if people don’t understand, yes, you don’t want crime in your community — and some people want to blame immigrants and I’m not saying that is always the case — but there’s also an economic factor that this country has worked with for years, for hundreds of years.”
