RHODES: “They’re not just trying to say here’s an executive order to try to implement a policy like, you know, President Obama trying to protect DREAMer kids. They’re talking about using executive orders to turn the U.S. government into something it has never been before, which is a deeply ideological institution. It is not some left-wing institution. We’re talking about experts. We’re not talking about left/right here. I don’t know the politics — when I was in government, I didn’t know the politics of almost anybody sitting around the table in the White House Situation Room. Frankly, a lot of those people are very moderate people. They’re just people that are experts, but those are the kind of people that they’re going to clear out.”
