CNN: Los Angeles Unified School District Adopts Sanctuary Status

GOLDBERG: “A very large immigrant population. The school district does not ask anybody what their status is when they join us, but we know that by the number of students that are in English as a second language, we have a very large number of immigrants in our district. We do not wish to have them be afraid as they were in 2016 and 17 when ice began to come to schools and try to take people, employees out of the classroom or out of the not out of the classroom, there were no immigrants in the classroom out of the the the classified employees, the people who do all the food services and cleaning of the schools.”
