Lee Carter: ‘President Trump Has Never Performed This Well in the Polls’

CARTER: "Look, there is a couple of things. First and foremost, President Trump has never performed this well in the polls. In 2020, Biden was ahead by eight points at the same point. In 2016, Hilary Clinton was ahead by three points. You are looking at a very, very different race. We’ve never seen Donald Trump lead in the polls. There’s a lot of people out there saying have we overcorrected now on the polls to try and account for the Trump voter? I am not sure that that’s what happened. What a lot of pollsters have done is they have gone back and they have tried to triangulate and say okay let's take past voting history and overlay it with the Trump voter and try to figure out what’s going to happen."
