Annie Linskey: The Firefighters’ Union Not Endorsing Harris Is an ‘Enormous Blow’

LINSKEY: "Yeah, that's right. Particularly when you look at who these unions represent, these are the very working-class, many of them white working-class voters that Harris desperately wants to bring into her coalition, the firefighters, in particular, this was the first union that endorsed Joe Biden in 2020. He relied heavily on their support for his wins, particularly in, you know, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and so for them to not say anything and not be endorsing her this time around that's an enormous blow. We can say it makes it harder for her to reassemble that winning Biden coalition."
