GAY: “There's no question that so far the mayor's mayoralty has largely been a failure -- and I don't say that easily. I hoped that he would succeed. But so far, he has not delivered on promises that he -- he has made. And instead of focusing on some of the most pressing issues -- for example, he has a great housing plan called the 'City of Yes' to build more housing, rather than focusing his political capital on getting that through or focusing on building on literacy in schools, which he also promised to tackle, he seems to have been focused on cronyism. And that is a political failure.”
