Colbert Samples Boullion Cubes Bill Gates Brought to Solve Malnutrition: ‘Niacin,’ ‘It’s a Key Vitamin’

‘Savory’

EXCERPT:

COLBERT: "Can I taste it?"
GATES: "Yeah. We can do it. You usually add water, but it’s okay. Mm. Savory."
COLBERT: "Mm. Niacin."
GATES: "That’s right. That is a key vitamin."
COLBERT: "That is tasty. That is salty. I would like to rub that on a Dorito. That’s nice. So do you distribute these? How do people get these?"
GATES: "So, we go to the manufacturers in the country and we say, 'We will require that for about 3% more of cost you’re going to take each of these cubes and put the vitamins in, and then they get out to all of the households.'"
COLBERT: "I need a sip of water right now."
GATES: "I know. That is the old bouillon."
COLBERT: "I am making soup in my mouth."
