We have seen the stats that say that black women die at a rate 3 to 4 times higher than white women in childbirth and depending on where you go in this country, those numbers rise. We have seen the stories coming from so many women in particular in the south, as they go ask for care from their healthcare providers, not getting what they need, not feeling like they are actually being heard or believed and we’ve seen that from some of the biggest stars in this country, like Serena Williams."
