Justice KBJ: I Was Conscious of ‘The Historical Dynamics of Race’ from a Very Young Age

‘When I was born, it was a time of awakening and reopening for African Americans’

EXCERPT:

BROWN JACKSON: "I mean, I think so. I think so when you're, you know, in an environment where you are one of a few, and especially given the sort of historical dynamics of race, which I was conscious of from a very young age. One of the things I've been saying in my book tour is that the significance of the timing of my birth cannot be overstated. And what I mean by that is that I was part of the first post-civil rights generation.”
