Fox’s Heinrich Presses Spox on Trump’s Relationship With Laura Loomer: ‘How Close’ Are They?’

Fox News host Jacqui Heinrich pressed Donald Trump campaign spox Karoline Leavitt Saturday on the closeness of fringe conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer to Trump and her appearances with him on the campaign trail.

Not only did Loomer travel with Trump to Philadelphia on Tuesday for his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, but she also attended a number of 9/11 memorial events with him the following day.

Trump has dismissed his association with Loomer as a non-story and wrote off questions Friday about why he would be willing to be seen with her during the closing weeks of a tight race.

On Fox News Live Saturday, Heinrich noted Trump’s debate comments about false claims of migrant pet-eating at a city in Ohio had taken over numerous news cycles.

“[That theory] was evidently brought to his attention by this figure, Laura Loomer, who has promoted this theory. He’s been hanging around with her,” Henrich said. “How close is Trump to Laura Loomer and why is he bringing her around with him?”
