Multiple Board Members of Akron Public Schools Gush over the District’s Participation in the LGBTQ Pride Event
‘Our community came together in so many ways’
EXCERPT:
UNKNOWN MALE: "Thank you. Thank you. Some of you mentioned the Pride festival a couple times then. I was certainly there this year, been there every year. A lot of us are allies, we go out, we support Akron and support. You know, we talk about equity and those kinds of things. That’s a true sign of being equitably minded, for sure. So I wanna give a shoutout, APS had a booth there as well. I think the teacher worked at Findley, I believe, I didn’t get her name, it escapes me, but she was there. Aaron? Ms. Aaron?"
UNKNOWN FEMALE: "Yeah."
UNKNOWN MALE: "Okay. She was there, I spoke to her. I want to give my shoutout to her because she was handing out information and the booth was there, so APS was certainly proud that day."
