Josh Shapiro Warns that Harris Should Not ‘Underestimate’ Trump Ahead of Debate

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) was the guest on Friday’s episode of The View, and he had some debate advice for Vice President Kamala Harris: don’t underestimate her opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Whether it was a political strategy to raise the expectations for Harris’s opponent ahead of their September 10 debate or simply a warning, Shapiro — who came very close to being Harris’s running mate — told the co-hosts of The View that it would serve Harris well to be ready to go up against a “skilled debater”
