MSNBC: Heavy Police Presence at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, Ga. After Reported Shooting

THOMPSON: “We have some more details about how this unfolded from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. The incident apparently happened at 10:23 this morning. Officers, it says, from multiple law enforcement agencies were dispatched to the high school to a reported active shooting. At the time, as you said, one suspect is in custody. It does not identify that suspect as a student or anyone else. It just says one suspect is in custody. There are casualties. However, details on the number of casualties or their conditions are not available at this time. And I can also tell you that the FBI office in Atlanta says it is aware of the situation and its agents are on the scene coordinating with local and state officials. So as we said earlier, and as Jim has noted, there is a very major police presence at this incident as we watch students and I assume faculty members there gather on the athletic field outside Appalachee High School.”
