MOORE: "Well, that's what socialist countries do, Jon, is that they impose controls over the economy including price controls and that has never worked. I’ll bet you could talk to 10 economists, and I think nine of them would agree that price controls are kind of a dingbat idea. We tried this, by the way, as you may recall, Jon, in the 19700s when Nixon and Ford and carter were president, and all it caused were shortages, gas lines. I remember when I was a kid and we used to pack into the, you know, the Ford and have the wait in line for 15 cars so we could get our gas filled up because of price controls."
