Gov. Tim Walz on Handing Nomination to VP Harris: ‘The Process Is What It Is, It Has Been This Way for Years’
‘Anybody who wants to run can do that’
EXCERPT:
WALZ: “No, look, the process is what it is. It has been this way for years. Anybody who wants to run can do that. You just need to secure your 300 delegates and go forward. I think what you are seeing is, is that we understand that the Biden/Harris administration delivered and they know that the vice president was right there making sure we had infrastructure dollars, making sure that we were investing in healthcare, making sure that we were rebuilding America. All of those things are part of the legacy that was part of this team. So, no, I think this is exactly what we thought would happen. Process is open. There is still time for anybody who wants to get in. I welcome them. And we’ll get our nominee and on to November."
