John Kasich on Kamala Harris: Most People Won’t Make up Their Mind Until Labor Day

‘You will see if she is the person that gets that unanimous support’

EXCERPT:

KASICH: “I mean, we know she is the candidate, is she the nominee? Will other people get in the race? Right now it doesn’t appear so, but there has been a lot of speculation that there's three or four other people thinking about it. I've been told that this afternoon. I don’t know if that will happen. I think — look, this has come very late, obviously. The issue is, if it is Kamala Harris, if she is going to be the nominee, what does the convention look like? Are they unified in that convention? Do they generate excitement? And are they able to define her in a positive way so the American people can look and say, 'Yeah, yeah, I can see that maybe she can do it.' Most people will not make up their mind about this until probably around Labor Day. So we will see if she is the person that gets unanimous support into that convention. Do they have a convention that allows her to project herself in such a way that people can see her as the president of the United States, and can they be positive enough, with enough excitement and energy to be able to have her viewed in a very short period of as somebody that could beat Trump and could run the United States of America?”
