Rep. Pocan on Harris: ‘We Now Have Someone with Energy,’ with a ‘Connection’ to Wisconsin
EXCERPT:
POCAN: "Yeah, we heard from a lot of people over the last three weeks after the debate. People didn’t like the choice of two older white men and, you know, now there is one left. I think the Republican Party is going to have to assess whether they will keep him on the ticket, you know, he has felonies and all the liabilities he's got out there. We don't. We now have someone with energy, with a connection to my state, someone who can talk about the accomplishments that she had. It is the Biden-Harris administration, don't forget, that got us out of Covid and has us strong economically, and now she can be an aggressive campaigner in the state. I am really looking forward to having her talk about things like freedom to make decisions about your body in Wisconsin. Thanks to Donald Trump and his picks for the Supreme Court, they overturned Roe v. Wade and now we live in 1849 law when it comes to abortion in Wisconsin. This is why I think having the vice president on the ticket will be crucial and really helpful in my state."
