Al Sharpton: Georgia, North Carolina Will Now Be into Play in 2024 Elections with Kamala Harris In

‘People are saying this is the kind of race that we need to have’

EXCERPT:

SHARPTON: "I am hearing a lot of enthusiasm around the country and a lot of energy. People are saying this is the kind of race that we need to have, where our issues are out front. And it is correct that the geopolitical landscape changes, because now Georgia and North Carolina and other states would be more in play. When Congresswoman Nikema Williams, who chairs the Democratic Party there in Georgia, said that the party is endorsing her, let’s not forget that this party, this state party elected a black and a Jewish U.S. Senator last time around. So, they know how to bring the turnout. This is the state where Stacey Abrams proved you can turn the state around. So I would say that Kamala Harris is the perfect candidate for a Georgia, for a North Carolina. When you look at the Republican gubernatorial candidate there in North Carolina and the extreme things he said, I really think that you will see a more energetic race and I think that the map has changed. I think Donald Trump may see a redo of 2020 if people go out and really understand the issues. I think Kamala Harris has the possibility of making that very clear."
