GOP Speaker Johnson: From Our Perspective, It Doesn’t Matter Who Dems Put on Their Ticket

JOHNSON: “I can tell you many of my colleagues on Capitol Hill, Democrats, who are friends and colleagues, have lots of hand-wringing over this right now. They don’t know what to do, and they don’t have a viable plan B. Many of them don’t believe that Kamala Harris is a viable candidate at the top either, and they’re running out of time. So it will be interesting to see what happens. From our perspective, Martha, it doesn’t matter who they put at the top of the ticket. If Kamala is the nominee, so be it. She’s the co-author and the co-owner of the policies of the Biden administration and she owns all these failures herself. So we look forward to a vigorous debate about those policies and about the two competing visions for American, and I think the American people will side with the Republican Party. That’s what the demographic moves are showing.”
