Ari Fleischer: If Biden Drops Out, There Could Be ‘Full-On Rebellion’ in Democratic Party

FLEISCHER: “The people who want to dump Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Just because someone is standing in the on-deck circle doesn’t mean they get to step up to the plate. You can always be substituted. When the other team switches pitches you can substitute. If Biden steps down, everything could break loose inside the Democratic Party. What will happen is Harris, of course, starts as the frontrunner since she is the v.p. What it takes then is who has moxie. Who is the Democrat who says I am stepping forward. Too much is at risk. The party can’t lose, I can win. Then what you have to look for is a courageous Democrat. Is the Newsom, Whitmer, governor of Pennsylvania? At that point you have a full-on rebellion inside the Democratic Party. I don’t think Harris will be the only one with the moxie to step forward. Not about her having that to step forward. She is just the vice. Who else has that drive? This is politics. This is the presidency. A lot of people have that drive.”
